Streaks Knowledge Base

Welcome to the Ignitify Streaks knowledge base. Streaks are a fun and motivating way to track your consistency in performing positive financial habits, like logging your expenses daily or reviewing your budget weekly.

This guide will explain how streaks work and how to maintain them.

Understanding Streaks

A streak is a continuous run of completing a specific action or habit on consecutive days or periods, as defined by the app or your personal goals.

How Streaks are Calculated

Ignitify tracks certain actions or habits that you perform within the app (e.g., logging a transaction, checking your dashboard). If you perform these actions consistently over a defined period without missing a day (or period), you build a streak.

Maintaining a Streak

To maintain a streak, you need to perform the tracked action within the required timeframe. The app will usually notify you about your streaks and upcoming deadlines to keep them alive.

Breaking a Streak

A streak is broken when you miss performing the tracked action within the defined period. Once a streak is broken, it resets to zero, and you have to start over to build a new one.

How to Use the Streaks Feature

  • Access: Look for a dedicated Streaks section or dashboard in the app.
  • Identify Tracked Habits: The app will show you which habits or actions are being tracked for streaks.
  • Perform Actions Consistently: Engage with the app features associated with the tracked habits daily or as required.
  • Monitor Your Progress: Check the Streaks section to see your current active streaks and your history.
  • Receive Notifications: Pay attention to any notifications related to streaks, as they can help you remember to complete actions before a streak breaks.

Tips for Building and Maintaining Streaks

  • Integrate Habits: Try to integrate the tracked actions into your daily routine.
  • Set Reminders: Use app notifications or set external reminders if needed.
  • Understand the Rules: Be clear on what specific action is being tracked and the timeframe required.
  • Don't Get Discouraged: If you break a streak, don't worry! Just start a new one the next day.
  • Celebrate Milestones: Acknowledge your progress when you reach significant streak milestones.

Streaks are designed to help you build positive financial habits through consistent engagement with the app.
